The Dearborn Public Schools and Henry Ford College are proud to offer students one of the most exciting opportunities; a chance to earn BOTH a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA and a 2 year ASSOCIATE DEGREE in only five years, instead of six, at NO COST to parents or students. Students can then transfer up to 60 credit hours to the 4-year college of their choice.
Our unique five year program is called the Henry Ford Collegiate Academy. Here's the best part, it doesn't matter if your child attends Dearborn, Edsel Ford, or Fordson High School, the program is available at all three.
Students enter the program at the start of their junior year based on the scores they have achieved on the PSAT10 test taken in the spring of their tenth grade year.
Music, athletics, theater, clubs, commencement ceremonies, honors night, prom, homecoming and all of the other activities that complete the high school experience are still a part of your child's experience when they enroll in the Henry Ford Collegiate Academy. Plus, students have access to all of the programs and offerings of a true college experience at Henry Ford College.
Micro-Collegiate Academy from TEL Education is an equitable, affordable, and turnkey program for public and private high schools, micro-schools, homeschool families and co-ops, and other school models to offer a collegiate academy experience for grades 9-12. The Collegiate Academy at Leto High School has been providing students with an opportunity to earn an Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) through Hillsborough Community College in addition to their high school diploma since 2013.
